The Day of the Horse
Exhibits dealing with Maryland’s Equine Industry and how
it affects us each day.
Sunday, August 5th - The Day of the Dairy Cow
Exhibits dealing with the Dairy Industry, including hands-on
demonstrations in butter and ice cream making.
Monday, August 6th
- The Day of the Beef Cattle
Exhibits dealing with the Beef Industry. Showing that more
than just
beef comes from cattle - hands-on demonstrations with
leather crafts, etc.
Tuesday,
August 7th - The Day of the Goat
Exhibits dealing
with the uses of goats - demonstration on cheese making, etc.
Wednesday,
August 8th - The Day of the Sheep
Exhibits portraying
all aspects of the Sheep Industry, for wool, food, and other
products. Hands-on demonstrations, including shearing, spinning, weaving,
etc.
Thursday,
August 9th - The Day of the Swine
Exhibits dealing
with the Swine Industry, showing all the medical breakthroughs swine
have given us, plus all the food and other products we
receive from the species.
Friday,
August 10th - The Day of the Rabbit
Exhibits dealing
with different breeds, care and judging criteria of
rabbits.
Saturday,
August 11th - The Day of the Poultry
Come see baby
chicks, poults, and other poultry hatching. Learn about the Poultry
Industry and its impact on Maryland’s agriculture.
